Position: Senior Care Worker
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero-hours contract
Pay Rate: £13.05 – £18.50 per hour (dependent on experience & shift type)
Expected Hours: 20 – 40 per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate care delivery for a group of service users.
- Provide high-quality personal care, including bathing, dressing, and medication support.
- Mentor and supervise care assistants, including shadowing and spot checks.
- Assist with rota planning, handovers, and incident reporting.
- Liaise with families, health professionals, and external partners to ensure continuity of care.
- Carry out risk assessments and contribute to care plan reviews.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, company policies, and safeguarding procedures.
- Maintain accurate documentation using digital care systems (e.g., Birdie).
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in domiciliary or residential care.
- NVQ Level 2 or above in Health & Social Care (Level 3 preferred).
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to drive with access to a reliable vehicle (essential).
- Confident using digital systems and mobile apps for record keeping.
- Flexible to work across various shifts including evenings and weekends.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in a senior or supervisory role.
- First Aid, Medication Administration, and Manual Handling certificates.
- A proactive, compassionate, and reliable approach to care.
